Road Trip Box for Teens
Teens. They are so tricky. Not kids anymore, but not adults either. They won't be sharing the front seat on a family road trip, but they won't be excited about new toys or road trip games like a younger child will. Sure, they like to be on their phones with headphones, but since most of us don't have WiFi in the car or unlimited data plans, it still takes some thought. To avoid the angst and complaining, here is a fun "survival" kit for teens on road trips.
The Kit
- A portable project/document case
- A binder pocket/page protector that can be glued to the box.
- Several print outs depending on what your teen likes - crossword puzzles, Sudoku, word searches, maybe templates for games like tic tac toe to play with siblings.
- A small teen geared coloring book (Crayola makes some great ones geared toward both teen boys and girls)
- Colored pencils or markers
- A dry erase marker
- A pack of cards
- A pack of gum and/or candy
- An extra charger for their phone
- A book and/or magazine
- A sleep mask
- "Essentials" like tissues, lip balm, wet naps and hand sanitizer
