What powers the Renegade?
No matter what trim level of the 2023 Renegade you go with, you will get the same powerful engine that is more than capable of highway travel and battling the trails. When drivers lift the hood, they will be greeted by a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque, which pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission will give you a smooth ride on and off the beaten path. The base trim comes standard with front-wheel-drive, but you do get the option of all-wheel-drive if you choose. All other trims come with all-wheel-drive as standard, while the Trailhawk gets a specialized four-wheel-drive system.
What are some of the features of the Renegade?
Every single trim level of the Renegade comes standard with many features, making it one of the most well-rounded vehicles out there. The base trim is the Latitude which has an 8.4-inch touchscreen with a Uconnect 4 system with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and SiriusXM. You also get several creature comforts, such as dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, heated mirrors, steel wheels, and 6-speaker audio. But wait, that's not all! You can also opt for the Premium Group, which doubles down on the luxury features with items such as an auto-dim rear mirror, power eight-way driver's seat with a two-way lumbar adjuster, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, windshield wiper deicer, roof rails and cornering fog lamps. If you go with one of the higher trims, you will be treated to even more advanced items, such as automatic headlights, roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels, and some other optional goodies, such as black exterior, black 18-inch wheels, and black interior trim. For off-roading, we highly suggest the Trailhawk trim, which comes with all-terrain tires, a rugged appearance package with skid plates and red tow hooks, and more ground clearance. You can also pair these features with the new Trailhawk Elite package, which has leather-trimmed seats, a power eight-way driver's seat with a two-way lumbar adjuster, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and a windshield wiper deicer.
How the Renegade keeps you safe
Jeep has always been committed to keeping you safe on the road and the trails. Standard is a Blind-Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross-Path Detection, which will monitor the areas around your Renegade, so you know when it is time to change lanes. You also get a Lane-Departure Warning which will let you know when you are leaving the lane without signaling and can even automatically steer your Renegade back into the lane if you drift. Forward Collision Warning will let you know when a frontal collision is imminent, and can even apply the brakes in certain situations, while the Trailer Sway Damping system will help control trailer movement if you begin to sway. Wherever you go, the Renegade will have you protected.
