One of the most striking differences between the original Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee L is the all-new third row of seating. Available in both seven and eight-passenger configurations, the Grand Cherokee L prioritizes comfort and convenience for everyone aboard. The seven-passenger setup features bucket seats in the first and second rows, with a three-seat bench in the third row. The second-row seats can slide 7 inches to allow safe and easy entry to the third row. LED lighting is standard both inside and out across all trim levels, including ambient interior lighting that illuminates the central console and entryways in a soft, customizable glow. Additional features include four-zone automatic climate control, open-pore wood accents, and a whopping 84.6 cubic feet of total cargo space. 

The 2021 Grand Cherokee L offers two powertrain options, the first of which is the standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine which provides 290 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque. That's a strong start as it is, but there's also the  5.7-liter V8, with 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque for those who want that extra muscle. The Grand Cherokee L also features Jeep's signature 4X4 systems, the Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II with rear electronic limited slip-differential (eLSD) which functions either manually or automatically, and modulate torque to improve traction. In terms of capability, the Grand Cherokee L has a maximum towing capacity of up to 7,200 pounds and can water-ford up to 24 inches when properly equipped. The aerodynamic build reduces road noise and vibrations while driving, making for a smooth and quiet ride. 

The Grand Cherokee L further distinguishes itself with its cutting-edge technology offerings. Namely, it features the new Uconnect 5 system, which is the latest generation and functions five times faster than previous models. The Uconnect 5 is available in an 8.4 or 10.1-inch touchscreen, and includes over-the-air (OTA) updates for navigation so you always get the latest information. There is also an available rear-seat monitoring camera system, which allows the driver to keep an eye on the rear seats via the Uconnect screen and make sure all rear passengers are safe. Additional features include a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, 12 USB ports for Type A and Type C, and an available color Head-Up Display (HUD) which projects useful information right onto the windshield, to help you stay informed while keeping your eyes on the road.
