New 2017 RAM 1500 at Central Ave Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM for Yonkers, NY
The Ram 1500 is the one and only half-ton pickup truck that right now also has a diesel engine option! It has a bunch of standard features, like automatic dual-zone temperature control, a rear park assist, anti-spin differential, a security alarm, Uconnect 8.4 media hub, a refined instrument cluster, a remote starter, and a rear backup camera! Rain-sensing wipers fight the elements on the windshield of the Laramie Longhorn, as well as LED lighting lights within the truck bed, SmartBeam technology, and Keyless Go-- all standard. The Bighorn trim for 2017 keeps its interior levels in check with a new automatic temperature control. And, the Sport model installs both a remote start and a security alarm.
Under the 1500's Hood
A Ram 1500 with the V6 gasoline engine can tow up to 7,610-lbs (correctly equipped), the diesel V6 can tow up to 9,210-lbs, and the V8 engine will tow up to 10,640 pounds. The standard engine on the Laramie Longhorn, Limited, and Sport models is a 5.7-liter V8 engine that sees 395 horsepower and manufactures 410 lb-ft of torque (an option for other models- minus the HFE model). There is an 8-speed automatic transmission on the RAM 1500, paired up with a standard 3.6-liter gasoline V6 engine. That 3.6-liter engine gets 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The HFE model has the EcoDiesel engine as standard, which is a turbo 3.0-liter diesel V6 that gets 240 horsepower and spins 420 lb-ft of torque. The EcoDiesel engine is an election on all except the Rebel, Sport, and Express. All 1500 trims use 5-link coil springs on the rear end and twin-tube shocks for the suspension. The Rebel model has an active-level, all-corners air suspension system as standard. Rear-wheel drive is also standard, or you can have a choice of two available 4WD systems. Both 4WD systems use a 2-speed transfer case and have low-range gearing.

The Tradesman, Laramie Longhorn, Express, HFE, Rebel, Laramie, Limited, Big Horn/Lone Star, Sport and the SLT make a strong showing for 2017. The Ram 1500 has double Uconnect touchscreen choices (5-inch or 8.4-inch) which facilitate passengers entertainment. A six-speaker audio system appears typically, which is more than sufficient for most. The Rebel is made in a work-oriented crew cab format, which has a 5-foot-7-inch truck bed. The Rebel trim has items such as tow hooks, LED fog-lights, anti-spin differential, black fender flares, 17-inch wheels, keyless entry, all-terrain tires, front/rear Bilstein performance shock absorbers (all other models are rated heavy-duty), and the RamBox storage system (as an option). The Limited, Laramie, and Laramie Longhorn models get 10 speakers mixed in with a subwoofer as part of the Premium II package. This package also contains an Alpine sound system and a 12-channel amplifier! Keyless entry and ignition, a Wi-Fi hotspot, remote start, power-adjustable pedals, Bluetooth, and voice controls are all found inside the 2017 RAM 1500!
