For 2017, the Dodge Durango line-up is changing. The Limited trim is getting replaced by the GT, which has a sporty, monochromatic exterior appearance. Under the Durango's Hood
Each model comes with a 3.6-liter V6 that is rated at 290 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It gets an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. There is the optional to add all-wheel drive. A standard system with this engine is an automatic stop-start system that shuts down the engine when it stops to make it fuel efficient. The fuel economy is 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway for the rear-wheel drive and 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway for the all-wheel drive. The V6 engine can tow up to 6,200 pounds when it is properly equipped. There is also an engine for the R/T and optional for the Citadel. It is a 5.7-liter V8 engine that is rated at 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. This engine also comes with an eight-speed automatic with the option of rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The fuel economy is 17 mpg combined for both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. The V8 can tow up to 7,400 pounds.
Design of Dodge Durango
The Dodge Durango is a crossover SUV that comes with four trim models: SXT, GT, Citadel, and R/T. It is versatile with the option for seven seats or six seats. The base model comes with automatic headlamps, cruise control, heated mirrors, keyless ignition/entry, three-zone climate control, 60/40-split folding and reclining second-row seat, Bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, and a 5-inch touchscreen. The R/T trim comes with an upgraded steering system, a Beats audio system, a sport-tuned suspension, and rear accent stitching.
