Under the 300's Hood
The 300 has a pair of options for engines. The first engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It gets up to 30 mpg on the highway. It is rated at 292-horsepower that can tow up to 4,000 pounds. The other engine option is the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 363 horsepower. This engine has Fuel Saver Technology that can use sensors to detect when full power doesn't need to be used while cruising on the highway. When this technology is activated, it deactivates four of the eight cylinders. It also comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. There is an all-wheel drive system the gives the vehicle optimal traction and control. The electronic stability control system also helps provide excellent traction and performance. There is also an available sport mode that increases the accelerator pedal response, calibrates the paddle shifters and electric power steering, and raises shift transmission points.
Design of Chrysler 300
The trim levels for the Chrysler 300 are 300 Limited, 300S, 300C, and 300C Platinum. The standard features in the base trim level are heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, rearview camera, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated power front seats, Uconnect 8.4-inch, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker sound system. There are so many more features on the higher trims that can be added to the lower trims. They are available in packages or even stand-alone features. Some of the features are heated and cooled cup holders, upgraded leather upholstery, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo. An additional package available on all the trims, except the Limited, is the SafetyTec Plus package. This package includes rear and front parking sensors, automatic wipers, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a forward collision mitigation system with automatic emergency braking.
What does the 300S come with?
Some of the features in the 300S are 20-inch wheels, sport-tuned suspension, steering calibration, LED fog lights, remote start, sport front seats, 10-speaker Beats Audio sound system, and blackout elements.
